1. Solvent residue should be as low as possible. Most problems with retort pouch structures are caused by excessive solvent residue. Strengthening the supervision and control of solvent residue is the key to making good retort pouch structures.

2. The density of the dry adhesive film should be as high as possible. Traditionally, retort pouch adhesive usually has poor fluidity and can only be applied with a lower mesh roller coater and a larger coating amount to obtain a basically satisfactory coating state. A better density is obtained with the help of a smoothing roller.

3. If the smoothing roller is far away from the coating roller, when the viscosity of the working fluid is too high, the smoothing roller may destroy the density of the adhesive layer, which is very harmful. However, a larger coating amount easily leads to excessive solvent residue, which puts higher demands on equipment and processes. This is an important reason why many manufacturers cannot make good retort structures.

If a retort adhesive with better fluidity is selected, or the fluidity of the working fluid is improved in the process, a high-mesh roller can be used for lamination with a smaller coating amount. Even if 1.8g/㎡ of dry adhesive amount can fully meet the retort requirements. Because the density of the dry adhesive film is greatly improved, and because the adhesive layer is thinner, the solvent residue is lower.

4. Control the ratio of curing agent under different humidity conditions. This requires a lot of effort to explore meticulously in order to obtain a process suitable for one's own conditions.
