Composite packaging bags are made by bonding two or more layers of material together using a medium such as glue. Therefore, the environmental factors of composite packaging bags directly affect the quality of the composite packaging bags. Below, Shunxingyuan Packaging, a professional flexible packaging manufacturer, will explain how we control the production environment of composite packaging bags based on our own composite processes.

1. Environmental temperature and humidity
In the composite process, temperature affects the volatilization of solvents and the coating state of the adhesive. An environmental temperature of 15-28℃ is ideal. Humidity has a greater impact on dry lamination, mainly due to the reaction between water and -NCO, which reduces the adhesive performance, affecting the composite strength and appearance.
Generally, the humidity is best between 50%-75%. When the humidity is too low, electrostatic sparks are easily generated, which is extremely dangerous. When the humidity is too high, the volatilization of ethyl acetate causes the coating rollers, glue plates, etc., to decrease in temperature. Once the dew point is reached, a large amount of water vapor condenses into water droplets, which will greatly affect the performance of the adhesive. The temperature of the web roller also drops sharply with the volatilization of the solvent, affecting the coating of the adhesive. Too high humidity will also consume a large amount of curing agent, which may cause a decrease in peel strength or insufficient curing agent.

2. Environmental dust and debris
Most composite products are transparent or partially transparent. Dust and impurities trapped inside affect the appearance and hygiene, immediately reducing product quality.
Dust and impurities can enter through various pathways: through gaps in doors, brought in by personnel and objects; brought in from raw materials, especially films, which often have static electricity and can attract dust and impurities; solvents and stirring rods used for adhesives are also prone to sticking impurities. The most direct source of dust and impurities is the air supply from the drying oven. Therefore, the air intake should have a good filtration device and should be cleaned regularly.
In addition, the heating part, air duct, and body of the observation window oven should be checked for rust.
3. Control of mosquitoes, flies, and moths
When mosquitoes, flies, and moths are trapped in the composite film, it often leads to customer complaints and significant reputational damage to the company, which is a serious problem.
Many food and pharmaceutical companies have extremely strict penalties for insect infestations.
To prevent insects from being trapped in the composite film, preventive measures should be taken to prevent insect breeding inside and entry from outside. Pest control should begin in spring, not when summer arrives.
