Two, Packaging Bag Customization Process

1. Packaging Bag Planning Documents

Some companies have internal UI designers or cooperate with other design companies. In this case, companies can provide the design drawings to the packaging bag manufacturer, who will handle the color printing and layout design. However, some companies do not have UI designers. In this case, companies need to provide pre-existing documents to the packaging bag manufacturer for design.

The documents to be prepared vary by industry but are largely similar. They mainly include necessary printing information: product name, logo, trademark, main ingredients (can be named by formula, food formula), product registration barcode, net content, manufacturer information (including full manufacturer name, license number and address), QS mark or certificate number (CS mark implemented in 2017), product standard number, storage method, usage method. If there are allergens or unsuitable situations, precautions need to be indicated. Also, the size of the packaging bag, the desired bag type and materials, the output direction of the packaging bag film, commonly used theme colors, the company's cultural overview, commonly used background images, and the theme to be highlighted.

All of this document information must be carefully checked for typos. Then, the packaging bag manufacturer will design it, and the design drawings will be submitted to the customer for confirmation. The customer needs to carefully check the information again.

2. Packaging Bag Printing Plates

The packaging bag manufacturer will produce the printing plates based on the design drawings, materials, and process requirements. This will take approximately 5-6 working days.

3. Printing and Lamination

Different equipment has different printing speeds and effects, with high-speed machines having higher printing efficiency. After printing, other processes are performed, such as aluminum washing, hot stamping, and surface lamination. Then, the heat sealing layer and other functional film layers are laminated. After lamination, drying and curing are required. After lamination, the lamination condition is checked, and defective areas are marked. Then, slitting and rewinding are performed.

4. Bag Making

The slit and rewound film is placed on the corresponding bag-making machine for bag making. For example, a zipper bag-making machine can produce stand-up pouches and eight-side sealed bags with zippers.

5. Quality Inspection

6. Delivery Inspection

Logistics is usually used for delivery, but express delivery is also used in urgent cases. The beautifully printed packaging bags are delivered to the customer for inspection.

In general, the packaging bag customization process consists of the above 6 steps. From the date of confirmation of the design drawings, it takes about 7-15 working days to complete delivery. If the order quantity is large, the delivery time needs to be extended.

Three, Packaging Bag Customization Usually Requires Sampling First

As everyone knows, packaging bag customization is a batch operation, which is very different from single product customization. Therefore, customers need to choose a packaging bag factory and then make samples.

Customization is rarely completed in one go, and several revisions are usually required. After the packaging bag custom sample is confirmed, mass production begins.

Four, Packaging Bags Minimum Order Quantity

The minimum order quantity for packaging bags is generally calculated based on the length of a roll of material. The common length of materials on the market is around 6000 meters. For example, if a clothing bag is made of PET/PE material with specifications of 25*18mm, and the PET material is 6000 meters per roll, the minimum order quantity is approximately 6000 ÷ 0.18 = 33333. Considering the loss, the minimum order quantity for packaging bags is generally 30,000.

For automatic packaging film, the minimum order quantity is generally 300-500 kg.
