Stand-up pouches, aluminum foil pouches, so many bags
Stand-up pouches and aluminum foil pouches are widely used in packaging. Do you know their specific applications? Today, Shunxingyuan Packaging, a professional flexible packaging manufacturer, will explain them to you one by one.

1. Stand-up Pouches

Stand-up pouches, also called upright pouches or stand-up bags, are packaging bags that can stand upright and can be printed with rich patterns and text. They are made by combining various plastic films using a bag-making machine and are used to package clothing, cosmetics, hardware and electronics, food, and pharmaceuticals, etc.
A stand-up pouch is a plastic packaging bag that can stand upright, made from two, three, or four layers of composite materials, such as PET/PE, PET/CPP, OPP/PE, OPP/CPP, PA/PE, PET/AL/PE, OPP/AL/PE, etc. Those with composite aluminum foil material (AL) are called stand-up aluminum foil pouches, while those with composite aluminum-plated material are called stand-up aluminum-plated pouches. The name varies depending on the material.
The printing of stand-up pouches is not significantly different from self-sealing pouches. The only difference is that stand-up pouches have a gusset at the bottom, allowing them to stand upright whether filled or empty, while self-sealing pouches cannot. Stand-up pouches use different bag-making machines than ordinary packaging bags, resulting in different bag shapes. The bottom of a stand-up pouch is generally called a gusset, which allows the bag to stand upright. If a zipper closure is added to the seal, it becomes a self-standing self-sealing pouch, also called a stand-up zipper bag.
Because stand-up pouches can stand independently, many customers prefer this type of bag, so they are widely used in various aspects of daily life, such as clothing, cosmetics, hardware and electronics, food, and pharmaceuticals.
2. Aluminum Foil Pouches

Aluminum foil pouches are a favorite in the flexible packaging industry, used in the packaging of many products. So how are aluminum foil pouches made?
Plain aluminum foil pouches are generally made by laminating several materials and then bagging them according to customer requirements. High-temperature sterilization aluminum foil pouches generally have four or more layers of composite materials: four layers: PET/AL/NY/RCPP; anti-static aluminum foil pouches are generally three or four layers: three layers: PET/AL/PE; four layers: PET/AL/NY/PE. Anti-static aluminum foil pouches are further divided into double-sided anti-static aluminum foil pouches and single-sided anti-static aluminum foil pouches.
Aluminum foil pouch materials: PET, aluminum foil, PE; PET, aluminum foil, CPP.
Characteristics of aluminum foil pouches: corrosion resistance, airtightness, light blocking, high-temperature resistance, vacuum-able.
Web selection: More webs mean lower costs. Choose the appropriate specifications based on equipment conditions to significantly reduce waste.
Adhesive selection: Choose adhesives with high initial adhesion, high solid content, and good wettability.
Manufacturing process of aluminum foil pouches: The amount of adhesive applied is approximately 1.5 times that of the white film. When the printing is full-coverage or the printing area is large, the amount of adhesive should be further increased.
After the first lamination, cure for 13 hours before performing the second lamination. Cure the product for 72 hours.
The aluminum foil does not pass through the flattening roller and directly enters the laminating roller.
Tension control.
Increase the temperature of the oven and laminating roller as much as possible.
