Many types of stand-up pouches, including quad-seal stand-up pouches, spout pouches, zipper stand-up pouches, imitation spout pouches, shaped stand-up pouches, and eight-side-seal stand-up pouches, are used for different types of goods.

1、 Quad-seal stand-up pouch

A common type of stand-up pouch using a four-side seal. It cannot be resealed or reopened. This type of pouch is generally used in the industrial goods industry.

2、 Spout pouch

Spout pouches are more convenient for pouring or drawing out contents and can be resealed and reopened, essentially combining a stand-up pouch with a regular bottle opening. This type of pouch is generally used in daily necessities packaging for liquids, colloids, and semi-solid products such as beverages, shower gel, shampoo, ketchup, cooking oil, and jelly, including the famous Xizhilang CiCi brand.

3 Zipper stand-up pouch Stand-up pouch

Zipper stand-up pouches can be resealed and reopened. Because the zipper closure is not completely sealed and the sealing strength is limited, this type is not suitable for packaging liquids and volatile substances. Depending on the sealing method, there are two types: four-side seal and three-side seal. The four-side seal means that the product packaging has an additional ordinary seal besides the zipper seal at the factory. When using it, the ordinary seal needs to be torn open first, and then the zipper is used for repeated opening and closing. This method solves the problem of the low sealing strength of the zipper, which is not conducive to transportation. The three-side seal directly uses the zipper seal as the seal, generally used for packaging lightweight products. Zipper stand-up pouches are generally used for packaging lightweight solids such as candy, biscuits, and jelly, but four-side seal pouches can also be used for packaging heavier products such as rice and cat litter.

4、 Imitation spout pouch

Imitation spout pouches combine the convenience of spout pouches with the low cost of ordinary stand-up pouches. The spout function is achieved through the shape of the pouch itself. However, imitation spout pouches cannot be resealed, so they are generally used for packaging disposable liquids, colloids, and semi-solid products such as beverages and jelly.

5、 Shaped stand-up pouch

These are various new shaped stand-up pouches created by modifying traditional pouch shapes based on packaging needs, such as a cinched waist design, a modified bottom design, and a handle design. This is currently the main direction for the value-added development of stand-up pouches.

Eight-side-seal stand-up pouch

Eight-side-seal pouches, also known as eight-side-seal flat-bottom pouches, have a flat bottom and a total of eight seals, hence the name. There are 4 seals at the bottom and 2 seals on each side, totaling 8. Eight-side-seal pouches have 5 display surfaces: 1 on the front and back, 1 on each side, and 1 on the bottom. This allows eight-side-seal pouches to carry more media information and better showcase and promote products and brands.
