How to print the best packaging bags, professional flexible packaging manufacturers do it this way
Seven parts for platemaking, three parts for printing. A major reason for the quality of packaging bags depends on whether they are printed well. Without specific process parameters tailored to product characteristics and printing, it is difficult to achieve good packaging bag printing
I. Factors Affecting Packaging Bag Printing

There are many factors influencing a printing machine to produce good products, including the printing press, ink, substrate, printing plate, and the printing master, all of which play important roles. We know that different printing machines will produce vastly different effects when printing with the same set of plate rollers, which may manifest as different effects on light screens, different hue saturation, and variations in mid-tone levels on the printed product
Different inks also produce significant differences in printing effects, which is closely related to the characteristics of the inks themselves
Inks from different manufacturers vary in greyness, color deviation, and color efficiency. This can ultimately manifest in printed products as gray balance imbalance, color cast, or light plate appearance for certain colors. Different substrates have an even greater impact on printed products, with BOPP, PE, PVC, PET, paper, and nylon producing vastly different effects in printing
If the negative effects caused by the above reasons are considered during the copper plate production, it can achieve twice the result with half the effort. Next, let's follow Shunxingyuan Packaging, a professional flexible packaging manufacturer, to see how your copper plates are transported and stored
II. Copper Plate Transportation

Protective measures are taken during copper plate transportation, including wrapping the copper plate surface with a thick layer of corrugated paper and strictly controlling collisions and bumps during transit
After printing, copper plates should be cleaned thoroughly. Ink residue on the copper plate can cause chrome peeling and plate clogging. Then, apply a uniform layer of anti-rust oil to the copper plate, wrap it with soft paper (or waste samples after printing), and store it in a cool, dry place
The chrome layer on the surface of gravure copper plates can quickly corrode when exposed to corrosive liquids, gases (such as acids or alkalis), or unqualified solvents, forming small dots on the plate surface which will transfer onto the printed film during printing. This phenomenon is more likely to occur in humid environments because moisture in the air easily absorbs acidic or alkaline gases, and air is constantly in contact with the copper plate surface. When the chrome layer has just begun to corrode, it needs to be de-chromed and re-plated as soon as possible to prevent the copper plate from being scrapped and avoid unnecessary losses
III. Storage Copper Plate Methods

After a printing run is completed, clean the copper plate thoroughly with solvent;
Wipe the plate surface dry with a clean, soft cloth, ensuring no fingerprints are left (as fingerprints contain corrosive components like sweat);
Dip a soft cloth in clean, low-volatility light machine oil (white oil) and apply a uniform layer to the surface of the plate roller;
Wrap the oiled copper plate with film (or waste printed film), with the ink side facing outwards, and store it vertically on a shelf in a ventilated, dry warehouse
